Capturing God’s Beauty – Spring Treasures

Capturing God’s beauty became a priority after attending a personal retreat this past year.

While taking a 24 hour break from my jam-packed life, God reminded me of His beauty. Nature’s display of vibrant colors and stunning landscapes flashed around me. I realized, more often than not, I missed these blessings because I was too focused on daily living. So when I left the retreat, I made a commitment to God and myself to  spend more time appreciating His beauty that surrounds me .

This spring brought a treasure trove of  beauty. I thought I would share some of the spring blessings I’ve captured.

This little gem was spotted while picking up sticks along the woods bordering our property.

And… just inside the woods, I came across this beauty.

This little treausre was found  blooming inside our pet cemetery.

Vibrant Crimson King maple tree buds adorn their branches in splendor.

Just around the corner from our house is a hidden creek waking up from its winter nap.

I love early morning sunrises. On my way to work this particular morning,  the reflection of trees upon the still pond water caught my attention. I stopped and snapped a picture to remind me of its beauty.

One of my favorite majestic sunrises.

God’s beauty is all around us in nature.  Are you missing it?

I’ve come to appreciate so many blessings God gives us each and every day by making it a priority to focus on Him. Don’t get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and miss His beautiful creation.

Take a moment to capture God’s beauty.

“Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;…Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. Let all creation rejoice before the Lord…” (Psalm 96:11-13, NIV)

Prayer:  Dear Father, Thank you for reminding me of Your beauty. Let me never become too busy that I can’t stop for a moment to take in all Your splendor. Your gifts to me abound minute by minute. I am overwhelmed by Your love. I accept Your blessings in humble adoration for You. In Your precious son Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS:  How will you capture God’s beauty this spring? What blessings are you thankful for?
